Where is Cornifer in Crystal Peak?

Crystal Peak is the top right of the world map and the most hazard-dense mid-game area. Pink crystals fire sustained beams on a timer, conveyor belts drag you into spikes, and the crawling Crystal Crawlers pop into shrapnel. The area rewards patience rather than speed, so stop, watch a beam cycle, then move.
Cornifer sits near the top. Enter from the eastern upper entrance, go right through the conveyor belt section, climb through the crystal rooms and look for him in the top left of the large chamber. The map is 112 Geo from Cornifer and 150 from Iselda, one of the three most expensive Cornifer maps alongside Ancient Basin and Kingdom's Edge. Buy it anyway; the Peak is vertical and full of one-way drops.
The Crystal Heart is at the far east end, past the Crystal Guardian boss. The Guardian is a miner husk possessed by crystal energy who beams and slams; beat him and continue right to the chamber holding the Crystal Heart. This grants the super dash, a charged horizontal rocket that breaks certain walls and crosses gaps nothing else can. It opens the Resting Grounds route, several Kingdom's Edge shortcuts and a large chunk of the Royal Waterways. Later in the game the Enraged Guardian, a much harder version, respawns in a room above and drops a Pale Ore.
Crystal Peak holds seven grubs, more than anywhere else, so it is the single best area to clear if you are chasing the Grubfather rewards. It also has the Crystallised Mound in the far east, which needs the Crystal Heart and Desolate Dive to reach and holds the Descending Dark spell, plus Hallownest's Crown at the top with another grub and a Whispering Root. Myla, the singing miner from the Crossroads, has moved here, and her story ends badly.
Two useful exits: a shaft in the south connects down into the Resting Grounds and the Blue Lake, and the west side drops back into the Forgotten Crossroads near the Stag Station. The Peak is also the only place to get the Deep Focus charm, tucked behind a breakable wall in the west.

Tips
- Crystal beams fire on a fixed cycle. Wait one full cycle before committing to a jump.
- Seven grubs live here, the most in any area. Clear it in one pass with the grub pin equipped.
- The Crystal Heart at the east end gives super dash and unlocks routes in four other areas.
- Deep Focus is hidden behind a breakable wall in the west and halves your healing speed but doubles the heal.
- The Crystallised Mound needs the Crystal Heart to enter. Come back after you have it.
- Enraged Guardian in the upper room drops a Pale Ore. Save him for an upgraded nail.

The super dash that rockets you horizontally through long corridors and breaks certain walls. It sits inside an old mining golem at the end of a long platforming section in Crystal Peak.

Crystallised Mound, east Crystal Peak
Upgrades Desolate Dive into a far larger shockwave with brief invulnerability, which is a reliable boss punish. It rests on a Snail Shaman corpse inside the Crystallised Mound, and the Lumafly Lantern makes the crossing much easier.
