This policy explains what information is collected when you use hollowknightinteractivemap.com ("the site"), who collects it and what choices you have. The site has no accounts, no sign-up and no comment system, so we never ask for your name, email or password.

Map progress stays on your device

Your map progress (which markers you marked as found) and your filter choices are saved in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing site data in your browser deletes it.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We only see anonymous aggregate statistics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how visitors reach the site. It sets first-party cookies and collects usage data such as the pages you view, how long you stay, your approximate location, device and browser. We see this only as aggregate reports and do not use it to identify you. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising and cookies

The site may show ads served by Google AdSense to cover hosting costs. When ads are shown:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of some other vendors' personalised ads at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.

Ad vendors may collect or receive information such as your IP address, cookie identifiers and device details directly from your browser. We do not receive this information and do not combine it with anything else. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the map and progress tracker keep working without them.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used for personalisation, and you can change that choice at any time from the consent message. Without consent you may still see non-personalised ads.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to or opt out of certain processing, including the sale or sharing of data for advertising. We hold no personal data about visitors ourselves, but we will help you direct a request to the right provider. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
