Hollow Knight map guides
Everything about maps in Hollow Knight that the interactive map alone does not answer.
The 112% Completion Checklist 112 percent is 100 from the base game plus 6 from the Grimm Troupe, 1 from Lifeblood and 5 from Godmaster. Charms are the biggest block at 36 percent, bosses are 14, and grubs, roots and relics are worth nothing at all. Cornifer Locations: Every Map in Hollow Knight Cornifer sells the map for the area he is currently sitting in. He appears in 12 areas, his price is always 75 percent of Iselda's, and if you miss him the same map is still available in Dirtmouth for more Geo. The Full Map of Hallownest Hallownest is a single connected cave system with Dirtmouth on the surface and the Abyss at the bottom. Crystal Peak is top right, Deepnest is bottom left, Kingdom's Edge is the far east, and five areas never appear on the world map at all. The Map and Quill: How Hollow Knight's Map Works You buy a separate map for each area from Cornifer, buy the Quill from Iselda for 120 Geo, and then the map fills in every time you rest on a bench. Without the Quill the map never updates. The Silksong Map: Every Region of Pharloom Silksong released on 4 September 2025 and swaps Hallownest for Pharloom. Maps work the same way but you buy them from Shakra with rosaries, you need a quill to record new rooms, and the map still only redraws when you rest at a bench. Beginner Route: The Best Order to Explore Hallownest Crossroads, Greenpath, Fungal Wastes, City of Tears, Crystal Peak, Resting Grounds, then the three Dreamers. Each stop gives one movement ability that opens the next, and nothing in this order ever leaves you stuck.
