Where is Cornifer in Queen's Gardens?
Central Queen's Gardens. Use the secret passage from mid Fog Canyon, go left, then drop to the bottom of the next room and head right.
Missed him? Every Cornifer location and what Iselda charges instead.
The Queen's Gardens are beautiful and deeply irritating to traverse. Spinning thorn wheels patrol the corridors, acid pools fill the lower routes, and the Mantis Traitors hit far harder than the mantises in the Fungal Wastes. You can enter from Fog Canyon in the north, from the Deepnest side in the south, or from the far west of Greenpath.
Cornifer is in the central part of the gardens. Come through the secret passage from the middle of Fog Canyon, continue left, then drop to the bottom of the next room and go right. The map is 150 Geo from Cornifer, 200 from Iselda, tying with Fog Canyon as the most expensive. The gardens loop back on themselves constantly, so unlike Fog Canyon, this one is worth paying for on your first visit.
Traitor Lord is the boss, in an arena in the east. He is a huge mantis with a long dash and a slam, and the fight is a pure spacing test with very little room to heal. Beating him opens the path to the White Lady, who gives you the Queen's Fragment, one of the two halves of the Kingsoul. That makes this area mandatory for the true ending and for 112 percent.
Also here: the Love Key, which opens the Tower of Love in the City of Tears and the Collector fight with its three grubs. Marmu is a Warrior Dream in the north. There are two grubs, a Whispering Root, the Queen's Gardens Stag Station in the west, and a hot spring near the White Lady. Isma's Tear makes the whole area much easier, because most of the awkward lower routes are acid.
If you are doing a completion run, do the Queen's Gardens after the Royal Waterways and after you have the Monarch Wings. The thorn corridors near the Traitor's Grave are brutal without a double jump, and the acid shortcuts turn a maze into a straight line.
Places inside Queen's Gardens
- White Lady's chamber
- Traitor's Grave
- Queen's Gardens Stag Station
- Hot spring
- Marmu's alcove
Tips
- Come with Isma's Tear and Monarch Wings. The acid routes and thorn corridors are much shorter with both.
- Traitor Lord has almost no safe healing windows. Bring Quick Slash or Shape of Unn.
- The White Lady gives the Queen's Fragment, half of the Kingsoul.
- Pick up the Love Key here. It opens the Tower of Love and the Collector in the City of Tears.
- This map ties with Fog Canyon as the most expensive at 150 Geo from Cornifer.
- The hot spring near the White Lady is a free full heal before the Traitor Lord run.
