Where is Cornifer in Greenpath?
West Greenpath. Go left from the Crossroads entrance, drop the long vertical shaft, then take the right-hand opening at the bottom.
Missed him? Every Cornifer location and what Iselda charges instead.
Greenpath is the second real area and the first one with a movement gate on the far side. Vines, whipping plants and pools of acid replace the Crossroads stone. Acid is instant damage on contact and you cannot swim in it until you have Isma's Tear much later, so treat every green pool as a wall.
Cornifer is in the western half. From the Crossroads entrance head left and down the long vertical shaft, then take the passage on the right at the bottom and listen. The map is 60 Geo from him, 80 from Iselda. Greenpath twists back on itself more than the Crossroads does and its acid pools create fake dead ends, so this map earns its price faster than most.
The main event is Hornet Protector, fought in a walled arena in the west past the Lake of Unn. She dashes, throws a needle on a thread and has a long evade, and she is the game's first real skill check. Beat her and you get the Mothwing Cloak, the horizontal dash. That single item opens gaps all over the Crossroads, Fungal Wastes and Howling Cliffs, so most players make Greenpath their second stop for exactly this reason.
Greenpath is also dense with optional content. Nailmaster Sheo lives in the Overgrown Mound in the north east and teaches Great Slash, a wide heavy swing. The Hunter's hut in the east gives you the Hunter's Journal, which logs every enemy you kill and rewards you for filling it. Massive Moss Charger is a hidden boss that erupts from a moss pile in the south and drops Geo. Unn sleeps beneath the Lake of Unn and gives Shape of Unn, a charm that lets you move while healing. Zote is trapped by the Vengefly King in the east and freeing him starts his long, useless, very funny questline. There are four grubs here and a Stag Station near the middle.
Two exits matter. North from Greenpath leads up to the Howling Cliffs. South and east drops into the Fungal Wastes near the Queen's Station, and the far west corner eventually links to the Queen's Gardens, though that route needs abilities you will not have on your first visit.
Places inside Greenpath
- Lake of Unn
- Stone Sanctuary
- Overgrown Mound
- The Hunter's hut
- Greenpath Stag Station
- Hornet's arena
Tips
- Acid kills on contact. Do not try to cross green pools until you have Isma's Tear.
- Beat Hornet for the Mothwing Cloak before you push deeper. Almost everything else gets easier with a dash.
- Nailmaster Sheo in the Overgrown Mound gives Great Slash for free. Take the detour.
- Grab the Hunter's Journal from the Hunter in the east. It doubles as a bestiary and a completion tracker.
- Dream Nail the Lake of Unn floor later for the Shape of Unn charm.
- The north exit is the fastest way to the Howling Cliffs and Nailmaster Mato.
